this piece means a lot to me personally, because i believe that society has always put a negative stigma surrounding a woman's body as well as the menstrual cycle. people with vaginas get periods. and that shouldn't represent weakness, inferiority, or submissiveness and each person's strength to endure their experience of periods should never be belittled or targeted for criticism.
